Counselor's Corner

Greetings!

My name is Jessica O. Clifton, and I'm thrilled to be your school counselor.  This is my fourth year at Canton Elementary, and I'm incredibly proud to be part of the CES TO THE TOP Team! I'm dedicated to supporting all students in their academic, social/emotional, and career development. 

Our Canton Elementary Counseling Program aims to equip every student with the knowledge, attitudes, and skills necessary for academic success and social-emotional well-being. The goal being to promote behaviors that support academic achievement and social- emotional well-being for life.  We offer a range of services throughout the school year to support this growth, including:

• Community Referrals and Resources

• Conflict Mediation

• Consultation

• Crisis Intervention

• Positive Behavior Support

• Second Step Classroom Lessons

• Short-term Individual Counseling

• Short-term Group Counseling

Students are welcome to visit me anytime to schedule an appointment or drop in if I'm available.  Parents and guardians, please don't hesitate to call or email me with any questions, concerns, or to arrange a meeting to discuss your child.
